My favorite subject is people!  I love painting people.  A few years ago, while I was teaching a fitness class to People with Parkinson's Disease, we shared with each other what superpower we'd like to have.  Mine was "helping each soul see it's worth.  I have done many things in life:  teaching, coaching, raising kids, tending to nonprofits.  But none of this work has allowed me into the soul of each person like painting portaits.  I hope that my portraits do more than convey likeness.  I hope they show a soul.  And a soul's worth.  Particularly to the subject.  To see more of my portraits or how I learned to paint portraits with some proficiency, check out the Pretentious Cleveland Portrait Artists
